Dearest Pamela;
I wanted to send this email to tell you how excited I am to have found and joined your wonderful organization. I have read all the books, watched the videos, emailed you over and over and to my surprise you always answer me with a quick wit and reply. I have gone after 3 accounts so far. I have signed one bank and we do the physical work and installation later next week. I think this is pretty good considering I'm not as young or handsome as my competition perhaps.
Anyway I just wanted to say a big "Thank You" and I look forward to a long and prosperous career with your support and help.
Gratefully,
Robert Anderson

Dear Pamela,
It has been a while since I last emailed you and I wanted to give you an update on how we are doing. We have celebrated our six-month anniversary on May 1 and business is good. We have 8 long-term accounts including three car dealerships, four banks, and a cell phone store. It has taken a while to get in the door but we are making headway. Our short-term business is booming right now with wedding and anniversary parties.
This approach of offering both long and short term has given us name recognition and has driven business to us that we might not have seen otherwise. We keep referring to your books and DVD training to keep the focus and check ourselves and we really appreciate your efforts in getting us started. We have found some competition out there that we did not know about. I believe we have stirred the bushes and made some noise. Right now we are the only company offering both short and long term alternatives. We have two accounts that hired us for short-term events that have turned into signed long-term arrangements.
We are busy, but not to the point of now knowing which end is up. We are trying to grow at a pace that will allow us to keep the focus and not get away from us.
Thank you for your confidence in us, and your ongoing support. We are very happy doing what we do and have books and DVD's to refer to when needed, they have helped immensely.
Thanks again,
Richard Malugani

My sister in law was all fired up about your Plant Business and asked me to consider being partners with her. We have always hit it off well so I thought why not give it a try?
I now think I like it more than she does. I do all the sales since that is my background and she waters the plants. It's a perfect arrangement. We both have different responsibilities and we are both so independent it works out well.
Last month I gave a bid to a huge new Building opening soon, and we landed the lobby and entire building project. We are doing plants for each floor as well as the property manager offices. We plan to use huge ceramics and 10' trees in various lobby locations. This will be our biggest account to date and makes our 17th account in all. Right now we are making around $4900 a month but with this project around the corner it will be closer to $6000 soon.
Your ongoing support has been so helpful. I would never have felt confident enough to go after something so big without knowing you had my back Pam.
We certainly made our investment back quickly and are now on to greener pastures.
Sincerely,
John and Rita

Thank you for letting us put our story on the website. It has been a goal of ours since we joined last year. Now we can tell our friends to read all about us.
Tony and I have always loved plants. We have more plants than furniture, and this plant business has really brought us closer together.
We tell everyone we're a husband and wife team. We both quit our jobs last summer and now spend our days watering plants. It's a very peaceful like. Our customer service rep suggested we hold off on large purchases so we rent a van by the day as needed. It's worked out really well.
We now have 42 Plant accounts ranging from $90 to $675 a month. The smaller accounts only take a few minutes to water each week and are very profitable. A large account will soon be increasing from $400 to $625 a month, maybe a little higher when it's all said and done.
We will begin offering Christmas Rentals next season. Clients keep begging us, so I guess we will become ChristmasScapers too.
Gratefully,
Kimberly and Tony Tucker
Caroline Brading & Phil Schroeder, Ogden, Utah: "We got 3 accounts within the first month."

Hi Everybody,
My brother and I joined both programs last fall in 2006. We got 3 accounts within the first month. The books suggested meeting once a week in a neutral place to strategize as partners and we took that advice to heart. We found this method very helpful. We met, promise what we will get done, then reported back, make changes then got back out there. Our local Denny's Restaurant knows us by name.
I thought I would take care of the plants and my brother would find customers, but it turned out I was better with face-to-face meetings; Phil liked installations and watering. It's weird how we thought our strengths were exactly opposite. Our meetings anchor and define our roles. I have done 15 bids and we landed 9 jobs. We install the 9th client next week for a retirement home. Phil is keeping the plants alive and the "water language" really has helped. Our profit margin is higher than anticipated so we will hire our first senior citizen to water the plants soon, then Phil will go after Christmas jobs.
We are very happy we joined the plant and Christmas business. I love what I do and have already quit my job. I just couldn't work another day for someone I didn't respect.
Sincerely,
Caroline Brading and Phil Schroeder

When I first joined Green Concepts I made a promise to myself that one day I would be on your website as a success stories. I am now a success. I look forward to seeing my letter on your website for the entire world to see!
Hello everyone, my name is Natia, and I live in Los Lucas, Mexico. We are a small town outside of Cabo San Lucas. Our city is quickly growing and prospering. Many of you visit on cruise ships. They arrive here daily and much growth is happening every day.
I first contacted Green and Christmas Concepts in 2004. It became clear very quick that this was something I could do and work at home. I am not an educated woman, but I am a determined woman! Pamela said something to me that I will never forget, "If you go to the website and your heart races with excitement, you're mine, just join and get it over with!"
I have thought of this often and wondered how she knew me so well? We have different cultures and ideas but one item is the same, I can trust her, this is very important to me.
Over the last 2 years I have been honored with 22 plant contracts, and 9 Christmas projects. I am not going to tell you how much I make per month. But I will tell you I am comfortable. I take my time and choose my customers carefully. I will have 2 more Christmas customers this season. I even turn down work I think will be too difficult for me.
I am very grateful to everyone in the office, especially Christina the Spanish translator. She has made everything work. It has been enjoyable to get to know her. In the future, I will enjoy a trip to meet them in person in California soon.
Buenos Dias,

Reenie Davis Hale, Ozark, Missouri: "Follow their plan, and work hard, there is a huge payoff. If it was easy everybody would do it!"

January 12, 2006
It will be one year next week since I bought both programs. I knew the first time I saw the website that they truly wanted to help people reach their dreams of being self-employment. Follow their plan, work hard, there is a huge payoff. It might take longer than you want, but it's so worth it! If it were easy, everybody would do it!
I had a full-time job, husband, 4 kids and a big house. We live in the Missouri Ozarks, with less than 15,000 in population. I wanted to leave my full-time job and be a "Plant Lady" and "Christmas Lady".
I poured through all of the materials, made copies of the needed forms, filed federal, state, and city paperwork. I started making calls, and then I made more calls. Seems like people in my area needed to be educated about the benefits of plants, but I kept plugging away. Nothing was happening. I spoke to and emailed the office often. We reviewed my techniques, and I tried a few different things, but still nothing was happening. I wanted to make this business work, so I didn't give up, but I was very discouraged. Lauren in customer service convinced me that coming to a seminar could make a difference.
Now my husband understands the potential of this Plantscaping business too and has been a big help this season! They took us shopping as a group during the seminar and I found a few great outfits, to seal the deal. It worked! They helped me find my confidence to trust myself more! It was wonderful to meet others at the seminar too. We are trying to stay in touch. Pamela is an incredible, and generous person to know. I am so thankful for her, and all she has shared with me. I plan to continue to make her proud!
For the 2005 holiday season, I got a three-year contract for our local hospital, plus they had me install 27 plants after Christmas! I AM NOW OFFICIALLY A PLANT LADY! I also got 2 more two-year Christmas contracts so I stopped looking for more work this year.
I paid for the entire inventory I used this year, and made a nice profit. Just counting the existing contracts I have for the next several years, I'm already ahead $12,000.00. Plus I own about $4,000.00 in inventory.
From my heart to yours!
Reenie Davis Hale
P.S. 2/04/08 Just got an update: I now have 6 Christmas clients and make over $18,000.00 that I can count on each year, and a few more scheduled for this season. My only plant contract is still the hospital but we are up several hundred dollars per month. The replacements are only about $25.00 per month so I am making a huge profit and I love doing it.

My name is Cynthia Smith and I was born in Zurich, Switzerland. I now reside in Austria with my husband Noel and my 3 wonderful children. My husband is a youth minister and I home school our children. We never seemed to have extra money for holidays and fun things for our children before we began with Green and Christmas Concepts, and now we do. I joined in June of 2005 and have never looked back. With small children it's very difficult to have a home business. I read how the owner had achieved her dreams with her children at her side; I thought this might work for my family too.
My oldest son Hanser has been of great help for me. He is only 14 but has very good sales talents. I believe he will do miraculous things in his life as entrepreneur. He has made calls to offices and restaurants for me after school. He has helped me to get 4 plant accounts. No one seems to mind that he is a child. Hanser's voice has changed this year and he does sound a bit older on the phone. My husband Noel helps with the installations and Hanser waters the plants after school 1 day a week. I have told him to slow down now, since we are coming to Christmas soon. This is where I personally shine. I must say, it has been a goal to have my story on the website for all of you to read. I am so proud of my family and how our little business has grown.
Very truly yours,
Cynthia and Noel Smith
Liz Doyle & Susan Belkavich, Toronto Canada: "When we get in over our heads (which is all the time) our customer service is there to help."

Hi everybody, we're Liz & Susan. We're sisters and have always talked about having a business together. One evening while having dinner we were chatting away and our husbands called our bluff.
They said, "What are you waiting for?" and we looked at each other and said at the same time, "They're right, what are we waiting for?" That very evening we started searching the Internet for a business. When we found the Plant & Christmas website we knew it was the one for us. You could just feel how sincere they were to help us, and they really do care. This meant a lot to us, since our husbands had challenged us and we were not about to fail.
Hollywood companies come here to make movies, so we rent plants to their sets. The set directors have begun to call us pretty regularly and we keep a greenhouse with many fresh trees and different types of plants, and some artificial materials. We use all the wholesalers provided by Green Concepts, both in Canada and the States. The movie business is our money trail, and we hope it never stops.
I know we are not your typical members; Pamela told us a business is a living thing, and it will direct us. If we had tried to control it, we would have short changed our dreams.
When we get in over our heads (which is all the time) customer service is there to help. We never would have had the nerve to charge so much on our own. This business is soooooo much fun!
Love, love, love you guys,
Liz Doyle and Susan Belkavich

Hi Everybody,
My name is Bonnie; I joined Green Concepts 6 years ago. I love plants and this seemed like a perfect fit. I have always wanted a home-based business. When I joined I had a job I loved but never felt appreciated. They paid me very well but my boss was a jerk and I hated going to work every day. The idea that I could start my own business and never see his face again was the only incentive I needed.
Fitting my job, family and new business together was a challenge at first. The books suggested picking one night a week and telling the family I had a job and then close my office door. I would not answer their calls or banging and it took a few months for them to really believe me.
I quit my job within a year and have never looked back and have lost 20 pounds too. I have 45 accounts and 3 part time workers that water.
I'm asked to do Christmas but I don't enjoy decorating so when a new member joined after my 2 years was over, I gave him all my referrals. I know he is swamped with my clients alone.
Well anyway, this is a wonderful business and if you are considering a change. make sure to really get to know this company; they are great people and really want to help you succeed.
Very Sincerely Yours,
Bonnie Reed

To: Pamela Dorn
The week before I graduated from Cal Poly I went to a lecture. The keynote speaker was Pamela Dorn of Green Concepts. She talked on entrepreneurship, and I was moved to tears by her passion and sincerity.
Shortly after college a prestigious firm hired me, but I could not stop thinking about some of the things she had talked about, namely the freedom from office politics and the fear of never really having job security. I decided to try the plant business part-time. Within 6 months I walked away from a great job that I loved, but no longer needed.
I give my professional recommendation to the Green Concepts plant program. The wealth of experience has guided me in starting this business. Many potential pitfalls have been avoided. Why re-invent the wheel?
Currently, I have 20 plant accounts and make $3,557.00 per month! That is more than I made at my full-time job after taxes, which I quit 6 months ago.
Maureen Vallencourt, Green Thumb Interiors
(As of March 15, 2006, I am up to 37 accounts and making $7,865.00 a month.)

Dear Pamela:
Two years ago I read an article written about Green Concepts on finding a good franchise. I was so impressed that I called her just to ask for some suggestions. Pamela answered the telephone; she actually works in the office like a real person. She encouraged me to follow my heart, and find something I could really see myself doing. The strangest thing happened next, I opened a magazine called Home-Business Magazine and there was a picture of her. I felt like it was fate. She said if I looked around my heart would lead me to the perfect future. And there it was.
Customer service is always helpful and honest, but I like to talk to Pam when I can. She has been more of a friend to me than my own family. She believed in me until I could believe in myself. I love her for that!
I now have 47 accounts, and I make more than my husband, but he has great insurance so it works out well for all of us. Accounts are easy to find. Green Concepts has changed my life and my family's life forever.
Very Sincerely Yours,
Lynn McCune
Jim Prone, Austin, Texas. "I make about $7,000 a month, and I have 3 part time helpers who water and help with installing. I do nothing but go around and say howdy to everybody and check up on all my little plants."

July 15th, 2005
Hi Pamela:
My name is Jim Prone, and I joined the Christmas program back in 89' when they first offered it. Almost immediately I realized I needed the plant business too. If I do Christmas they want plants, if I do plants they want Christmas. The books and videos have made it really easy for a stubborn guy like me to understand everything.
They return my calls and emails and I find their continued concern for my welfare gives me added confidence. Last month, I bid a large bank with well-known designer giving us the specs on the plants. Two of the varieties were new to me, so of course I called the office. They not only told me how to care for them but the nursery to buy them at.
I make about $7,000.00 in plant accounts a month, and I have 3 part time helpers who water and help with installing. I do nothing but go around and say howdy to everybody and check up on all my little plants.
Christmas has been real fun too. I just go in there and tell um I'm going to decorate for um and they say ok, simple as that! We make a load of money, almost $50,000.00 each holiday. Last year our profits were almost 75%. We rent the same decorations over and over, and boy those bows and balls make us a bundle.
My wife is careful to store everything in boxes and bags, so we just pull the tree or wreath out fully decorated, fluff and deliver. I trade out one of my car dealerships for extra space. He gets a decorated tree each year for the showroom in exchange for the storage space. From the bottom of my big old Texas heart, thank you for all your help!
Sincerely yours,
Jim Prone

I've been a tooling designer for almost 25 years. During most of that time I worked a minimum of 56 hours a week. I didn't mind because the overtime pay was great and I loved what I did. Times have changed and I transitioned from design work on a drafting board to design work on a computer. This is when I started to search for another career as I lost overtime pay and work overseas. My wife is a stay at home mom, raising our four children. Green Concepts sounded great, but I was very skeptical as the price sounded too good to be true. They actually called me up to explain the business more clearly. Email conversations between Pam and I began on a weekly bases. She became my friend during this search and was warm and helpful. I joined Green Concepts. I was unprepared for what was about to happen next.
While at my bank, I noticed a sad tree that reminded me of the ones you see in a Dr. Seuss book. I wasn't going to say anything, but I started telling the teller that I was going to start a plant leasing business. The Branch manager overheard my conversation and came right over. He actually asked me to show him how I could improve their office. At that point, I had to bend over and search for my jaw that had just dropped to the floor!
My first account fell in my lap before I had even tried! I had no more excuses but to get the lead out. I was really nervous as the only experience I had was watering the grass. I read the books over and over, emailed the office daily, and they got back to me quickly. I never feel alone in my new business.
The installation was a success. When I returned a few days later, the bank manager said everyone loved the look. Some were even asking who did the job. He asked me to leave some business cards for the tellers and gave me the names and phone numbers to three other branches. I truly appreciate this bank manager for giving me my first break to get started, even though he knew it was my first account. Now I control my life instead of a company that controls me! I have never met Pam face to face, yet she reminds me of a friend I have known for years. Now I got to get moving on Christmas.
Thanks again,
Steve
Percy James Johnson, Montgomery, Alabama: "The software enhanced my proposals and was one of the main reasons both proposals were accepted so quickly."

June 16, 2006
Dear Pamela and staff,
I am a third generation minister in my family. I worked for a major corporation for over 10 years while my ministry was growing, to support my wife and 3 small children. I knew I might always need to supplement my income and felt called to Green and Christmas Concepts. I had been looking for quite a while for just the right business, and for some reason I kept coming back to this one.
Not only have I learned how to do this business, but their wealth of knowledge has actually helped my ministry as well. The books gave me a unique insight into how a successful person thinks, and I can see how Pam became so successful. The books and tapes very clearly map out each step. I also found the training by video to be not only educational but also quite humorous. We recently received the new "click and drag" software and my 9-year old daughter taught me how to use it. I included the schematics in my last 2 proposals and I must say the clients did enjoy the realistic way their offices would look. In both instances I do feel this software enhanced my proposals and was one of the main reasons both proposals were accepted so quickly. The client was able to visualize how their offices would look. It gave them the added confidence to go ahead with the extra expenses right away.
Thanks you guys,
Percy James Johnson
Even though I am only 26 I have always known I would do some sort of business on my own. I love Christmas! My mother and I are very happy we found both Green Concepts & Christmas Concepts. I never saw myself working in an office. I like to be outdoors and breathe fresh air. An office always seems so stuffy and working around a lot of other women seems intimidating to me.
People didn't take me seriously at first since I was so young. I was very serious about being a plant lady so finally they took a chance on me. My mother helps with the paperwork and I do all the plant care and decorating. I have 8 plant accounts, and 5 Christmas accounts. My 2 older sisters help too. We joined in 2005 and are on our way! Thanks you guys, you've been great.

Fred Tillera, La Puente, California: "I had tried medical billing, health products, multi level marketing and Herbalife, so when I found Green Concepts I thought it must be too good to be true."

October 22, 2006
Hi, my name is Fred and I'm a single dad with two great kids that I have full time custody of. I have worked 2 jobs just to make ends meet for years now, and I felt like I was never with my kids. They are growing up right in front of my eyes and I feel like I am missing moments I will never get back!
I looked for a long time for the perfect franchise, and have researched quite a few in details. They were either too expensive, too hard, or I felt like the company was not going to be there for me when I needed them. I have tried medical billing, health products, multi level marketing, and Herbalife in the 80's, so when I found Green Concepts I thought it must be too good to be true. The low price made me skeptical but I was wrong.
They returned all my emails quickly, and called me when I asked them to, that right there was different than any of the others. I joined 6 months ago and have 3 Christmas jobs lined up and 2 plant accounts already. The first account was harder than all the others, but now that I understand the formula it's much easy. The "water language" is easy to understand too. Even my kids can help. I am excited to do the Christmas work coming up, and even though I have never done anything like this, I'm confident that I can take it on.
I have hope for the first time in a long time, that things will be ok. I am confident now that I will be able to take care of my children properly. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Green and Christmas Concepts!
Fred Tillera
I joined in July 2006 and have 6 Plant clients ready for this season. I look to make quite a wonderful profit, and then next year I will begin my Christmas Business. My husband had a stroke last year and it feels good to know that I can take care of us now.

Careen Brandings, Springfield, Missouri: "I made a decision when I joined this would work no matter what."

April 10, 2007
To Anyone Reading This:
I have only been a member for 6 months but I love this business so much! I have 5 accounts and I make $1325.00 a month already. I water plants 2 part time days a week and I look for new customers the rest of the time.
I have 4 bids out right now and I am sure 2 will sign up in the next few weeks. The other one is so large I hope they choose someone else. I want to keep my business small and this one account would take a lot of my time. I doubled the price I usually ask and if they accept then it will be worth it but I really don't care either way.
I made a decision when I joined this would work no matter what. I knew some clients would say yes and some would say no, and that I can't take it personally, its just business. I'm really glad Green Concepts doesn't believe in going after plant contracts that other plant people have either, I don't think I would have joined if they had. Pam said it is bad karma, and I agree. I have followed their books and takes and every suggestion they made, and it's actually been easier than I thought. I just go in there and tell them they need me, just like that. Watching the DVD's really helped too. Every time I feel like I need a new boost I can watch them over again.
The great thing about having your own business; I get to choose who and when I do business with someone. I love it!

I have been a member of Green Concepts for a little over 18 months now. I am an engineer for a large company here in New Mexico for almost 20 years now. I will probably never quit my full time job; the salary and benefits really help my family, but I do want to have more income and security when I do retire.
I work the plant business a few hours a week, and have 11 accounts. I was like other members, I went into the bank to set up my business checking account, and my first account was actually with my bank. I now do 5 other bank locations, and have been referred to 2 more for next month. If I get these 2 new accounts I will have a total of 13. I can see my future now, and it is bright!

Darla and John Campbell, Nashville, Tennessee: "We make so much money now I never even balance my checkbook. If you are looking for a fast buck, this business is not for you. But if you are willing to put your time in, and be patient, you can have a wonderful business."

November 1, 2006
Hello everyone,
My husband and I have worked hard to be one of the success stories on this website, and am proud to say I will be giving notice at my full time job in January 2008. My husband plans to take an early retirement 6 months after that. With both of us working full time, it was hard to get the amount of accounts we wanted quickly, so Pamela suggested we hire a go-getter sales person to help us get plant contracts quickly. Our personal customer service rep Victoria also was a great help. She was always there to guide us along. What a great idea this has been. Our sales gal and Victoria got us so many accounts we were forced to slow them down, so we could catch our breath! It's been like having a third partner. Knowing I will be quitting soon has made the days at work bearable, almost pleasant.
We make so much money now I never even balance my checkbook. I just write a check and know there is plenty of money to cover it. If you're looking for a fast buck, this business is not for you, but if you're willing to put your time in, and be patient, you can have a wonderful business.
We recommend Green Concepts highly to anyone considering becoming self-employed.

Thanks for helping me with that last contract; I really don't think I would have gotten it without your help. I think it's great that I get to finally be on the website with your other successful members. I've included a photo with this letter. When I lose some more weight I will send you a better one.
My name is Bob and I joined Green Concepts 3 years ago and Christmas Concepts this past year. I thought the plant business would be easier to begin with and then if any of my plant customers wanted Christmas then I would join. Sure enough, around August my clients started asking me to do Christmas so I joined and it's been quite a ride. I know I will never do as good a job as the designs in the portfolio, but my customers don't seem know the difference. In fact, they seem so grateful they don't have to do it themselves; I don't think they care what I do, as long as they don't have to do it themselves!
The first year I think I under priced my work, so this year I raised my prices almost double and no one even questioned it! I still like the plant business better than the Christmas, but the money is great so I will keep on offering it.
Keep up the Good Work,
Bob Riviera
Linda and Mark Appleton, Seattle, Washington: "We have found Green Concepts to be the perfect add-on program to our existing business. After only 2 short years my husband makes more with the plants alone, than my full-time job of 15 years ever did."

September 19, 2007
My husband is a window washer by trade and we were getting so worried about the safety and liability issues that we started looking for something a little safer to add-on as a supplemental to our business. We considered a lot of different options but he liked the idea of being inside on rainy days. The plant business seemed like a good fit. We already had clients who liked us and would consider adding plant care to our contract. There is no liability, it's warm inside during the winter, he never gets sick anymore, and we have hired someone else to do most of the window work.
We have found Green Concepts to be a perfect add-on program to our existing business. After only 2 short years my husband makes more with the plants alone, than my full-time job of 15 years.
I'm a much happier wife, our home life is less stressful, and we are closer in our marriage. In fact I can safely say Green Concepts might have even saved our marriage!
Very sincerely yours,
Linda and Mark Appleton

Subject: help!
I called a car dealership with really poor looking plants. He said he would consider a bid; here is what I was considering for his showroom. What do you think?
Subject: from the desk of pam
You are bidding too low for the amount of plants plus his existing; raise the price 40% higher. Trust me, it's too low!
From Sally: I'm getting worried
I haven't heard back and now I'm worried I charged too much. If he is blown away by the cost, I was thinking of calling him and asking if he would like to consider if I lowered the cost. What do you think??
Subject: from the desk of pam
Don't you dare! The price is right on. Wait a week, the next person who speaks loses, if he says the price is an issue that means YES talk options, call if you want to role play a bit first.
From Sally: Well my goodness he took it!!!!
Actually he responded within a few days. I had set up a business email account and b/c it was new I hadn't bothered to check it. In his email he said he had tried calling without success (b/c new business answering machine was not functioning yet either) Live and learn right? Anyway he took the whole thing as is, didn't even try to talk me down! YOU WERE RIGHT He said lets start fresh, doesn't even what to use his old plants! Pamela, I can't believe how easy this was. No email, no answering machine, and I still got my first account and for a higher price than I would have dared do on my own.
Thanks Pam,
Sally Burton
Miguel Barranon, San Luis Obispo, California: "I want to tell you guys how excited I am about my new business and how thankful I am to have been given this opportunity."

From Green Concepts: For purposes of training new members attending seminars we started one last little plant business here in San Luis Obispo; and only so attendees could get hands-on training. Now it was time to let go of our final plant business. Pamela sold it to a long-time employee and Cal Poly Graduate. He had worked in every phase of our operating for over 6 years, graduated with honors and was ready to branch out on his own. We wish Miguel Barranon our best, and with that, here is his story:
Dear Pamela and the gang at Green Concepts,
I want to tell you guys how excited I am about my new business and how thankful I am to have been given this opportunity. I've always wanted to work for myself, especially after watching all the members do so well. I will proudly keep the legacy of Green Concepts alive. I just want to tell you from the deepest part of my heart, thank you for believing in me!
Working for you these past 6 years helped me feel important in the world and helped mold my future. You expected my best, and never settled for less. I learned how to hold myself to a higher standard. I want to be the man you know I can be, and I am working on becoming that man every day.
I love having my own business. All the success I watched our membership go thru is happening to me. Just from listening to Pam on the phone has taught me how to get accounts and it really is as easy as she says it is. I was having a drink one night downtown and I told the manager he needed plants and he said, "how much?" and I got my first account! Then my mom told her hairdresser about my new business and now I am installing plants at their beauty salon next week. Word of mouth is amazing!
I don't ever want you to think that I'll forget what you have passed on to me. I am extremely thankful for everything that you have done to get me ready for this business, and I promise to never let you down.
Love Always,
Miguel

Dear Pam and the Gang,
Having a GREAT TIME. Wish you were here. This is our first vacation in years. We couldn't have done it without you guys. The books, the video training and your support over the phone and emails have made all the difference in the world. I must say, the training seminar really put me over the top in confidence. I am seriously considering coming out to see you guys once a year for a refill.
When I think of you and how loyal and friendly your staff are, the only word that comes to mind is superior! Our business is doing great and you definitely have my permission to post this on your website if you want, in fact it would be fun to show our friends.

Kim Shaw, Oak Park, Illinois: "I think the thing I like the most about my little business is that no one will ever be able to fire me again, and I love that feeling."
I love my little plant business. I probably will never get more than 25 accounts. I like having time for my church, school and friends. This business lets me schedule my life. I water plants every 9 days. Right now I have 12 accounts, 4 beauty shops, 2 churches, 4 restaurants and 2 dentist offices. The congregation of my church has really helped me, and I have even rented plants for a few weddings too.
I have not done any Christmas projects yet but I did do a wedding that asked for a Christmas theme with plants and lights and that was really fun. I think the thing I like the most about having my own business is the fact that no one will ever be able to fire me again, and I love that feeling.
Thank you Green Concepts for not only helping me learn how to have a business but also for giving me the confidence to achieve my life long goal.
Kimmy
No one in my family has ever owned a business so I was scared. When I called Green Concepts, I didn't know anything about plants and nothing about bookkeeping or how to even have an office at home.
Pam was very patient with me but I even quit a few times before I got it right; one time for almost a year. I just thought I would never understand everything. She called me one day out of the blue and asked me to try one more time, so I said ok. I started emailing her every day and finally things started making sense. My parents are so proud of me. I finally graduated from college and now devote my time to building my business. I only have 5 accounts but I know I will get more.
Thank you for that one last call!

Toni Waterman, Los Alamos, California: "It took me ten months to get my first job, but now I have a total of 12 clients. I love my business. You did a very good job of laying out the groundwork."

I was thinking of you the other day. And I have to say, I am really glad I ran across you. I love my business now that it is coming up on three years. As you know it took me ten months to get my first job, (I was truly ready to give it up). But now I have a total of 12 clients, and I believe I will have several more in the near future. I am very pleased with how profitable it is. You did a very good job of laying the groundwork. When I take into account replacement costs, I am still making about $62.00 per hour. That average will improve even more over time as my abilities improve.
I did have one incident with a company that had just hired a new controller. He was looking to cut costs and wanted to terminate but we had a signed contract. I gave him two options: either finishes the contract at a reduced price; (I was still going to make very good money, since it took less time to water than I expected), or we could extend the contract an additional six months for a further reduction. They chose the first option. I am still making $60.00 per hour, including plant replacement. I am betting they forget about it by the time the contract ends. So far that has turned out to be the case. I am a couple of months beyond the contract date, and I have not heard anything.
So again, thanks

We've been with Green Concepts a long time now and when Pamela told us it was time for us to put our story on the website we were delighted. We always dreamed of having a business where we could work together. Not only has this plant business done that, it has done a lot more. We get to travel and know our water technicians are taking care of our plants while we bask in the sun.
We started with residential homes, which are definitely a lot harder than commercial accounts, but since I have a friend that was a real estate broker for a new group of high-end homes we went for it. We started with renting plants for their model homes, 5 total all in different themes. The interior designer was great to work with which I hear now is unusual.
After that we did almost every homeowner in the community, then their country club, then some of the homeowners offices and it just started branching out from there. All in all we did almost 30 accounts in 3 years just from this group of model homes alone. Then the Country Club wanted us to do Christmas so we joined Christmas Concepts and we wound up doing several homes after they saw what we did for the Club, and after that we did a few of our plant clients offices too.
We highly recommend Green and Christmas Concepts; this business has truly changed our lives.

Patricia Hartman, Portland, Maine: "I am a registered nurse; well let us say I was a nurse until Green Concepts.
Hi my name is Patricia and I'm a registered nurse, well let's say I was a nurse until Green Concepts. I joined the program 2 years ago now to get the chance to bid the plant job at the hospital I was currently working at. Over the last few years the hospital has gone through several management changes and it was getting very stressful. When my husband said why not check out something else I began looking on the Internet for a home business. When I found this, and read the website I stopped looking. There was a sincerity that I really liked. My husband actually bid the job for the hospital, we got it, we set it up, and I quit my nursing job. I have never looked back. Also the training seminars tapes really helped my confidence.
Thank you.

I joined in May of 2007 and I already have 5 accounts. I am half way to quitting my full time job. I hired a college girl on a very part time basis to help me with sales. I had no previous sales experience, and I thought I would need some help. Pam suggested this might be a good way to learn how to get my first accounts if I could afford it. It was the best expense I made besides joining. She has moved on now but has left me in a very good position with several clients almost ready to sign up.
If you are considering a change in careers this is really a fun one!
